School of Water Science and Food Security

The School of Water Science and Food Security is committed to advancing water and food sustainability through specialized programs that address the pressing challenges at national and regional levels. By integrating innovative strategies, practical mechanisms, and adaptive tools that align with the social, economic, regulatory, and environmental contexts, the school aims to improve access to essential water and agricultural resources. The Water Science Program focuses on ensuring water security, which is defined as the ability of individuals, communities, and regions—whether rural, urban, or semi-urban—to access safe water supplies for both personal use (drinking and hygiene) and productive purposes (agricultural and industrial). The Food Security Program is designed to address food security and food safety. This comprehensive approach provides students with hands-on learning experiences and research opportunities that contribute to sustainable water and food systems.
