Nile University’s degree programs are state-accredited and certified internationally.
Moreover, Nile University academic programs adopt the credit hour system which allows for easy transfer of credits from other institutions.

Exchange programs for university students aim to enhance student’s intercultural skills and knowledge and give the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of their study of choice from a different country. This gives university students a chance to develop their work experience by seeing how the profession they are studying is practiced globally. The exchange program provides students with an opportunity to study in a different country and environment, experience the history and culture of another country, as well as meet new friends to enrich their personal development. International exchange programs are also effective to challenge students to develop a global perspective.
- Students who have a valid passport (Six Month Validity Passport Rule. As a rule, passports should have at least six months of validity when traveling internationally. Most countries will not permit a traveler to enter their country unless the passport is set to expire at least six months after the day of travel).
- Students with very good English language skills.
- Students with very good academic standing.
- Students who did not go for an exchange semester before.
- Priority is given to students who are in their second or third year at the time of travelling.
Students usually find the announcements sent to their email including all the information regarding the application process for the Exchange Programs so, they can apply for the available Exchange Programs opportunities.
The announcements will include the eligibility criteria, application form, application deadline, scholarship or fund details, course catalogue, accommodation details.
If students have any inquiries regarding the Exchange Programs, they are welcome to visit the Student Support Office.
Complete applications only will be considered, and late applications will not be accepted.
After the application deadline, we take into consideration all the complete applications and we take time to review, sort and filter the applications and we select the students according to the criteria below:
- Academic Performance
- Achievements
- Activities
- Personality
The selected students will be informed about the acceptance of joining the Exchange Program and will be informed from the home university, also they will receive an email from the host university including all the information regarding the online application, the required documents and the next steps.
Students are responsible for following the application deadlines, NU application deadlines that we sent to students in the Exchange Program announcements, and the host university application that the host university sends to the nominated students by email. Also, if the nominated students will apply for a specific scholarship or fund application, they should know the application deadline and submit their application before the deadline.
Students also should know the recommended arrival dates, the recommended departure date and the holidays for the host university.
NU Tuition Fees:
NU students should pay their tuition fees at NU in the regular semester deadlines so, the exchange students should pay their tuition fees at NU before traveling. Exchange students will not pay any tuition fees abroad. Other fees by the host university, including but not limited to housing, student activities fees, insurance, etc. must be paid by the student to the host university within their respective deadlines.
NU Funding / Scholarships:
Nile University does not offer any kind of fund\scholarship for exchange students. Exchange students will be responsible for paying NU tuition fees at NU. Students will also be responsible for paying their living expenses related to their participation in this program including:
- Flight Tickets
- Accommodation
- Medical insurance
- Meals
- Visa Fees
- Transportation
- Supplies
Other Funding/Scholarships Opportunities:
There are partner universities with NU offering Erasmus Grants to cover the travel costs and the monthly living expenses. Also, there are National Agencies abroad offering scholarships and funds to cover the exchange semester. Once the nominated students receive acceptance from the partner university, students should apply for these scholarships and submit their applications before the deadline.
Note: Students expect to receive the scholarship amounts once they arrive at their partner universities so students should prepare themselves to cover the costs before arrival such as:
- Flight Tickets
- Visa Fees
- Health Insurance, if required
- Accommodation Fees, if required
The Exchange Program duration is one semester, 5 months.
- Once the home university informed you that you got selected for the Exchange Program, you will receive an email from the host university including all the information that you need to know such as the online application, visa, accommodation, etc.
- The first thing you should do is to complete the online application and submit it before the deadline.
- Secondly, select the courses and complete the required forms and send them to the host university
- The host university should send you an acceptance letter and the list of courses signed and stamped by the host university.
- If the host university is not offering funds to the exchange students, students can apply for scholarships to cover the living expenses.
