Job Summary
The role focuses on searching for grants, providing detailed information, and supporting faculty throughout the application process. This involves proposal review, compliance checks, coordination with relevant offices, and ensuring timely submissions. Proposal and Outreach Officer combines proposal support with relationship-building and outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Search for new national and international grant opportunities and disseminate funding opportunities accordingly.
- Use the pre-identified keywords gathered from surveying the PIs to look up tailored calls that match the PIs' research themes and their specific areas of interest.
- Communicate with eligible faculty members regarding available grants according to university policies and provide faculty with detailed information about the grants, including grant objectives, deadlines, and required documents.
- File and categorize both physical and digital documents for easy retrieval and maintain an organized system for tracking document versions and updates and manage database for Grantors, Partners and submission records.
- Update the newsletter with all new funding opportunities and important announcements and keep faculty informed of any changes or new initiatives.
- Surveying relevant workshops or resources to assist faculty members in grant application processes and proposal writing.
- Attending online & offsite workshops/events related to funding agencies & grantors whenever required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business major or any related field.
- Active & Dynamic personality with excellent administration skills.
- Effective communication skills and problem solving.
- Excellent time management and ability to handle tight deadlines.
- Excellent English proficiency (Spoken & Written) as will be dealing with foreign entities.
- Excellent proficiency of MS office package (Excel, Word, PPT)
- Excellent surveying skills and information hunt.
