Information security plays a vital role in every field, protecting everything from industry know-how and health records to online banking and research data.

Nile University established a dedicated security department within its ICT School in 2006, with the goal of leading and advancing the ICT security sector in Egypt and the region.

As security and privacy continue to evolve, the MSc in Information Security focuses on today's most critical areas, such as cloud computing and big data security, while building a strong foundation in the essentials. These include cryptography, operating system and mobile application security, wireless network security, digital forensics, penetration testing, malware analysis, incident handling, risk management, and systems exploitation.
