We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the ClimaTech Accelerator 2025 program, dedicated to supporting startups driving the plastic circular economy!
Nile University - NilePreneurs hosted the insightful introductory seminar, "Circular Egypt: Turning Plastic Waste into Opportunity," in partnership with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank - Egypt.
The event brought together leading experts, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers to tackle the critical shift toward sustainable plastic waste management in Egypt.
The seminar began with powerful keynote addresses from Eng. Ahmed Saleh, Executive Director of NU IECC, and ADCB team.
Following the keynotes, Eng. Asmaa Ahmed, Deputy Director of IECC and Head of UIC at Nile University, delivered an Accelerator Overview. She showcased the successful metrics and results from ClimaTech Accelerator Cycle 1, followed by an exciting presentation on the features of the new launch of ClimaTech Accelerator Cycle 2.
The event culminated in a dynamic panel discussion, "Scaling Climate-Tech Startups to Tackle Egypt's Plastics Waste: Opportunities and Ecosystem Gaps." Moderated by Eng. Ahmed Saleh, the panel featured:

The conversation focused on the challenges and vast opportunities for using innovative, circular economy models (including Material, Product, and Business Model Innovation) to transform plastic waste into valuable economic resources within the Egyptian market. This partnership represents a unified model for academia, finance, and entrepreneurship working together for a Green Economy in Egypt.
