Turning Research into Global Reality: The 5th Edition of "Research to Impact"

Following the signing of our strategic partnership with the China-BRICS Science and Innovation Incubation Park (China-BRICS SIIP), Nile University’s Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO) and the Research Office were thrilled to host the extraordinary 5th edition of the "Research to Impact" Competition on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
This edition was a powerhouse collaboration, providing our researchers with a global platform to bridge the gap between laboratory innovation and the international market.
Distinguished Jury Panel: We were honored to feature an elite panel of experts whose diverse experience ensured a rigorous and insightful evaluation of all entries:
  • Dr. Alaa-Eldin Adris: Professor of Management of Technology; Founder and Advisor, IPTTO.
  • Dr. Hebatalla Kaoud: Associate Professor of Management of Technology; Founding Director, IPTTO.
  • Mr. Zhang Dianhui: Director, China-BRICS SIIP.
  • Ms. Sylvia Lin: Deputy Director, China-BRICS SIIP.
  • Mr. Cai: R&D Director, Haihongxing Agritech.
The Winners & Awards: The competition saw fierce innovation and high-stakes pitches. We are proud to celebrate our top three teams, who were awarded the following cash prizes:
  • 1st Place: 38,300 EGP
  • 2nd Place: 23,000 EGP
  • 3rd Place: 15,300 EGP
Scaling for Global Success: Beyond the financial rewards, the ceremony—led by Dr. Ahmed El-Mahdy, Dr. Alaa-Eldin Adris, Dr. Hebatalla Kaoud, and the distinguished Chinese delegation—marked the beginning of an intensive incubation journey. The winning teams will now receive collective, hands-on support from both IPTTO and the China-BRICS team, focusing on:
Comprehensive IP Protection: Navigating the complexities of intellectual property to secure your innovations.
Technology Roadmapping: Developing custom commercialization strategies.
International Exposure: Exclusive opportunities for winning teams to showcase their work and compete on an international stage in China.
The atmosphere was electric, filled with pride and optimism. It was inspiring to witness our researchers take these decisive steps toward transforming their intellectual outputs into tangible societal and economic value.
