Prof. Wael Akl's Announcement for the New Board of Trustees Members

Prof. Wael Nabil Akl, President of Nile University, stated that during the Board of Trustees meeting of 19 December 2023, chaired by Prof. Mahmoud Mohieldin, the board unanimously elected the following new members to be added to the board. Their names are arranged alphabetically:

• Mr. Adel El-Labban, Former Group CEO and Managing Director, Ahli United Bank (Bahrain)
• Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, Professor of General Surgery, the most prominent pioneer of liver transplantation in Egypt, and former president of Ain Shams University
• Dr. Azza El-Shinnawy, Head of Egypt and North Africa Amazon Web Services, worldwide public sector

Nile University hopes that the participation of the new members in its Board of Trustees will truly enrich the work of the board, in addition to the current board expertise, which represents a great weight to Nile University's role and status. Nile University was established in 2006 as a research university. Now, the university is leading the Egyptian academic community as Africa’s top entrepreneurial university with its research outcome rate per faculty more than 4 times the national average.
