Nile University Forges Strategic Partnership with China-BRICS SIIP to Drive Global Innovation
We are proud to announce that Nile University has officially signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tan Kah Kee High Technology Research Institute, the operating entity of the China-BRICS Science and Innovation Incubation Park for the New Era (China-BRICS SIIP).
This milestone partnership aims to bridge ecosystems between Egypt and China, fostering collaboration in technology transfer, intellectual property development, and entrepreneurship within the BRICS+ framework.
The signing ceremony was graced by Nile University’s Acting President, Dr. Essam Roushdy, and Mr. Zhang Dianhui, Director of the Science and Technology Achievement Transfer Center at Xiamen University and Director of China-BRICS SIIP. The event featured insightful presentations from the Chinese delegation, the Haihongxing Agritech team, and Nile University’s delegation, including Dr. Ahmed El-Mahdy (Dean of School of Information Technology and Computer Science and Acting VP of Research), Dr. Hebatalla Kaoud ( Associate Professor of Management of Technology and Founding Director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office) and Dr. Alaa-Eldin Adris ( Professor of Management of Technology and IPTTO Founder and Advisor), who outlined our vision for deep-tech acceleration and industry-academia integration.
In a gesture of global collaboration, Mr. Zhang Dianhui presented Dr. Hebatalla Kaoud with an official letter of appointment as an "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mentor" for the China-BRICS SIIP (2026–2029). This honor reflects Dr. Kaoud’s dedication to bridging local research with international markets and her pivotal role in orchestrating this strategic alliance.
