Fostering International Collaboration: Nile University’s Engagement in the Egypt-China Year of Education
As part of Nile University’s commitment through the Office for International Affairs (OIA) to expanding its global footprint, we were delighted to facilitate our faculty’s participation in a specialized academic seminar in China. The event was organized in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the umbrella of the Egypt-China Year of Education.
Representing Nile University, Dr. Ahmed Solton, Associate Professor and Director of the NISC Center, participated in an intensive two-week delegation from July 15 to July 30 in Changsha.
Hosted by PowerChina, the program provided valuable insights into cutting-edge technologies in power generation, energy storage techniques, and long-distance power distribution. Key highlights of the visit included:

Technical and industrial field visits, including detailed operational discussions with engineers at a solar energy station in Lenzhou, along with insights into solar cell manufacturing processes

Corporate infrastructure engagement, including direct interaction with PowerChina’s history and corporate strategy

Cultural and historical exchange, with opportunities to explore China’s rich heritage, including visits to historic temples and the iconic Yellow River
