In a recent session organized by ECE Program EAS, ECE students were introduced to the transformative journey of database technologies, with a spotlight on Oracle.
The session traced the evolution from traditional file-based systems to relational and non-relational databases, offering insights into how Oracle has remained a leader through decades of innovation.
The session was instructed by Eng. Fekry Nabil who emphasized Oracle’s powerful architecture, seamless SQL integration, data integrity measures, and advanced transaction management. Students also explored how Oracle is adapting to modern trends, such as cloud computing, AI-powered data handling, and NoSQL systems meeting the growing demands of today’s digital world.
Eng. Noha Elbadry served as the coordinator for this partnership with Oracle, facilitating this valuable learning opportunity.
The session concluded with a strong focus on database security in the era of cloud computing, showcasing how Oracle’s enhanced security framework protects organizations against both internal vulnerabilities and external threats through multi-layered security solutions.
