Advancing Accessibility: AI Empower Conference 2026 at Nile University

Nile University hosted the first AI-for-Accessibility conference in the Middle East, bringing together experts to explore how AI can empower people with disabilities. 

In partnership with the Ibnk Foundation, IECC led AI Empower 2026, a landmark event focused on technology-driven inclusion. The conference convened academics, practitioners, and technologists to discuss how AI and digital innovation can create more inclusive education and employment opportunities. Highlights included a keynote by IECC Executive Director Ahmed Saleh on the role of collaborative innovation in inclusive development, a presentation by Dr. Noha Gamal on practical ecosystem-level interventions, panel discussions, and a short documentary titled “When AI Meets Ability.” The event fostered knowledge exchange and networking, and showcased real-world applications that support the social and economic inclusion of persons with disabilities.
