Towards a Human-Centered Scientific Culture in the Arab World Workshop

On 29 October 2025 at Nile University, Cairo, Nile University, in collaboration with the UNESCO Cairo Office and the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA), will host the launch of Towards a Human-Centered Scientific Culture in the Arab World. Bringing together policymakers, educators, scholars, researchers, and youth, the workshop will share the report’s findings and recommendations, foster constructive dialogue on practical steps to build a more humane and resilient science culture, highlight successful models of Arab-Arab collaboration (and address barriers such as mobility and visa regimes), and inspire public engagement by linking science to everyday life to promote ownership, inclusiveness, and cultural affinity across the region.
