Biography
Salma Hossam Mohamed is currently a Research Assistant in the Nanoelectronics Integrated Systems Centre (NISC), Nile University. She is currently enrolled in the M.Sc. Master of Microelectronics System Design(MSD). She received the B.Sc. degree in Computer engineering with honors from the school of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nile University, 2024. Her main research interests include computer vision, embedded-AI, embedded cybersecurity and IOT systems. She is currently working on the design and implementation of the IOT smart water quality monitoring system project. Her aim is to deepen her expertise in embedded cybersecurity, contributing to innovative solutions for secure and efficient IOT systems. She published a conference paper in 2023 about face emotion detection using the CNN model she designed, and a conference paper in 2025 about road damage detection using YOLO model with coordinate attention.
