Strengthening Skills Mobility & Training for Employment

Nile University was honored to welcome a delegation from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), including Ms. Virginia Bada, Mr. Abdallah Rashdan, and Ms. Mounira El Kahlawy, for a productive visit focused on ongoing and future collaboration under the Y-Med Skills-Based Mobility Program.
The visit addressed the progress and impact of Y-Med 2024–2025, centered on training for employment and international skills mobility, as well as discussions on the upcoming Y-Med 2026 phase.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Essam Roshdy, President of Nile University, followed by a tour of the FACT Center, led by Eng. Haytham Yassin, FACT Center Director.
This was followed by a detailed working session led by Ms. Shahenda El Ghandokly, Head of the SEEC Office, covering:
- Candidate selection and matching process
- Pre-departure training delivered by IOM Egypt
- Matching and selecting training providers and host companies in Italy
- Post-internship employment pathways in the Egyptian labor market
The discussions reaffirmed the shared commitment of NU, IOM, FACT Center, and SEEC to equip students with industry-relevant skills, international exposure, and stronger employment opportunities upon return.
We look forward to expanding this impactful partnership and empowering more young talents through the next phase of Y-Med.
