Scheduling Supervisor
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the vice provost for student affairs, the academic scheduling supervisor oversees the development and creation of each semester's schedule of classes and exams, performs schedule-related data analysis and reporting, provides training and support to other personnel on all aspects of course scheduling and schedule-related data analysis, and liaises with academic divisions at multiple levels as well as the student information system manager and facilities management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, coordinate scheduling-related activities for all academic sessions and exams.
- Organize and perform technical data management duties related to scheduling, including generating statistics, reports and forecast for required lecture and lab space.
- Work with program directors and coordinators in the development, modification and collection of course offering.
- Act as the primary point of contact with facilities to ensure sufficient resources and accommodations of lecture and lab space.
- Ensure efficiency and optimization of lecture and lab space.
- Establish and implement workflow patterns and operating standards to accommodate course scheduling requirements and requests.
- Consolidate course offering to be added by the Student Information System Manager to PowerCampus.
- Manage data entry in WISE, the scheduling tool.
- Communicate scheduling information to staff and/or programs as required.
- Manage scheduling reports required for the integration with other systems.
- Perform any additional new tasks assigned by management that are within the same specialty and nature of daily work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of similar experience.
- Proficiency in using SIS and scheduling tools.
- Strong Organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Team player
