Undergraduate Fall 2021 Scholarships

NU mission is to drive technology-based economies in the region through excellence in scientific research and academic programs. To realize its mission, NU seeks to provide scholarships to deserving young men and women seeking excellence in education and state-of-the-art research at NU for academically outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Application Process

  • Fill the Scholarship Application Form
  • Deadline for application and submission of required admission documents is 6th July 2021.
  • New or incomplete applications will NOT be considered beyond this date.
  • Short-listed candidates fulfilling the REQUIRED criteria will be invited for interviews with NU scholarship committee.
  • Interviewed applicants could be invited for a second interview with the funding institute for final selection.

 

Selection depends on a specific combination of several factors:

  • High School Score (with different scores according to the type of high school certificate)
  • Financial need
  • Extra achievements or awards
  • Personal Interview 
  • Any additional criteria specified by the funding agency

 

N.B:

  • Merit Scholarships: A merit scholarship is offered to academically outstanding students in the first year based on their high school scores. CLICK HERE to know more. 
  • Transfer Students' scholarships in their first year at NU will be calculated according to their high school percentage.
  • 5% scholarship is granted for excellence in sports.

 

 

Nile University Scholarships

Nile University (NU) is offering full scholarships for the top 10 Thanaweya Amma students applying for undergraduate studies at NU in Business, Engineering, Computer Science and Biotechnology covering the full duration of study.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a strong record of extra-curricular activities, research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship abilities and participation in philanthropic activities.
  • Satisfy admission requirements at NU, including English language proficiency

Scholarship Policy:

  • High academic progress toward completion of degree requirements. A scholarship recipient is required to maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA throughout the course of study. Failure to maintain the required GPA will result in losing their place on the scholarship program.
  • The scholarship program is designed to help students complete their degree requirements within the specific number of semesters for their selected major.
  • The Scholarship covers Fall and Spring Semesters

Al Alfi Foundation Scholarship

Al Alfi Foundation is offering partial scholarships to Egyptian students applying for undergraduate studies at Nile University at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences covering the full duration of study.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A Thanaweya Amma student from the Math division with a minimum score of 95% OR is a STEM School student with a minimum score of 90%.
  • Possess a strong record of extracurricular activities that demonstrate research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship abilities in addition to participation in community service activities.
  • Complete the admission requirements at NU, including the English language proficiency test.

 

Scholarship Policy:      

  • This is a partial scholarship; AAF will be paying 75% of the total tuition fees.
  • The scholarship recipient must make satisfactory academic progress towards completion of their degree requirements. A scholarship recipient is required to achieve and maintain a 3.3 GPA throughout the course of study. If the scholar fails to do so in any given semester, AAF will reduce the amount to be paid in the invoice by 25% for one semester. If the scholar again fails to fulfill the GPA requirements, the sponsorship will freeze. The annual review will include courses completed up through the spring term of that academic year.
  • Financial need is a must for the Scholarship. This should be cleared stated, proven and supported in the application. Final decision in this regard will be taken by AAF committee.

Egyptian Refining Company Scholarship

Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) is offering the full scholarship “Mostakbaly” directed to students from areas of El Matariya, El Khosos and East Shoubra El Kheima applying for undergraduate studies at Nile University at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences covering the full duration of study.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • High School Score (Math Section) 95%.
  • Proof of residence in the areas of: El Matariya, El Khosos and East Shoubra El Kheima is a must to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • Graduated this year with a High School degree of Thanaweya Amma from public school, with strong academic performance.
  • Satisfying admission requirements for the Supreme Council of Universities and Nile University, including English language proficiency.
  • Demonstrate a strong record of extra-curricular activities, research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship abilities and participation in philanthropic activities.
  • The student must pass some exams and interviews first to be selected in Mostakbaly Scholarship.

 

Scholarship Policy:

  • High academic progress toward completion of degree requirements. A scholarship recipient is required to maintain minimum 3.0 GPA throughout the course of study.
  • The Scholarship offers students a monthly allowance (for the period of 8 months) to cover transportation and education expenses.

Banque Misr Foundation for Social Development Scholarship

Bank Misr Foundation for Social Development Scholarship is offering full scholarships to Egyptian students from all over Egypt applying for undergraduate studies at Nile University at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and school of business administration covering the full duration of the study.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Thanaweya Amma students from a public school- Math division with a minimum score of 94% and arts division with a minimum score of 90%.
  •  STEM School students with a minimum score of 88%
  • Possess a strong record of extracurricular activities that demonstrate research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship abilities in addition to participation in community service activities
  • Complete the admission requirements at NU, including the English language proficiency test

  • High academic progress toward completion of degree requirements. A scholarship recipient is required to maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA throughout the course of study.
