Al Alfi Foundation Scholarship
Al Alfi Foundation is offering partial scholarships to students applying for undergraduate studies at Nile University at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences covering the full duration of study.
Eligibility criteria
- High school (Thanaweya Amma) holder with no less than 98%.
- STEM Schools Graduates minimum score of 94%.
- Nile Schools Graduates minimum score of 96%.
- A strong record of extracurricular activities that demonstrate research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship abilities in addition to participation in community service activities.
- Fulfill admission requirements at NU, including English language proficiency
Scholarship Policy
- This is a partial scholarship; AAF will be paying 75% of the total tuition fees and the scholarship recipient is supposed to cover the remaining 25%.
- Scholarship recipient must make satisfactory academic progress towards completion of their degree requirements. A scholarship recipient is required to achieve and maintain a 3.5 GPA throughout the course of study. If the scholar fails to do so in any given semester, AAF will reduce the amount to be paid in the invoice by 25% for one semester. If the scholar again fails to fulfill the GPA requirements, the sponsorship will freeze.
- The scholarship program is designed to help students complete their degree requirements within a determined period and is generally not available beyond that point. Dropping out of or failing any of the courses is not allowed.
- The scholarship covers Fall and Spring semesters.
- Scholarship recipient is supposed to maintain academic integrity. Academic dishonesty includes but is not limited to plagiarism, deception, fabrication and misconduct.
- Scholarship recipient must maintain an acceptable level of attendance in all classes and receive no disciplinary warnings related to this issue.
- The scholarship recipient is required to maintain full-time enrollment status throughout the study program.
- Financial need is a must for the Scholarship. This should be cleared stated, proven and supported in the application. Final decision in this regard will be taken by AAF committee.

Egyptian Refining Company Scholarship
Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) is offering full a scholarship “Mostakbaly” directed to students from areas of El Matariya, El Khosos and East Shoubra El Kheima applying for undergraduate studies at Nile University at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences covering the full duration of study
Eligibility criteria
- Score (Math Section) 95%.
- Proof of residence in the areas of: El Matariya, El Khosos and East Shoubra El Kheima is a must to be eligible for the scholarship.
- Graduated this year with a High School degree of Thanaweya Amma from public school, with strong academic performance.
- Satisfying admission requirements for the Supreme Council of Universities and Nile University, including English language proficiency.
- Demonstrate a strong record of extra-curricular activities, research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship abilities and participation in philanthropic activities.
- The student must pass some exams and interviews first to be selected in Mostakbaly Schoarship.
Scholarship Policy
- High academic progress toward completion of degree requirements. A scholarship recipient is required to maintain minimum 3.0 GPA throughout the course of study.
- The scholarship program is designed to help students complete their degree requirements within the specific number of semesters for their selected major.
- The Scholarship covers Fall and Spring semesters.
- The Scholarship offers student a monthly allowance (for the period of 8 months) to cover transportation and education expenses.
- Maintaining acceptable level of attendance in all classes and receiving no disciplinary warnings is a must.

Postgraduate Scholarships
Mohamed Samy Postgraduate Scholarship
Mohamed Samy scholarship offers postgraduates scholarship for Master of Science in Communication and Information Technology (CIT) in honor of “Mohamed Samy” covering the full duration of study.
Mohamed Samy passed away in May 2018, he was one of our outstanding Research Assistants in the Center of Informatics Science. NU is offering one scholarship annually in honor of his memory and dedication to research at NU.
The scholarship is offered in one of the following programs: Informatics, Information Security, Software engineering and Wireless technologies.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduated with strong academic performance.
- Satisfying admission requirements for the Supreme Council of Universities and Nile University, including English language proficiency.
- Willingness to participate in many activities in NU related to teaching, research and admission.
- Demonstrate a strong record of extra-curricular activities, research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship abilities and participation in philanthropic activities.
Application Process
- Send an email to Scholarship Office with CV and graduation certificate, explaining why you are interested to join this scholarship
- Short-listed candidates fulfilling the above-mentioned criteria will be invited to an interview with CIT selection committee to determine the final selection.
- Interviewed applicants are selected according to their scores on the following measures with different weights for each factor:
- University graduated from
- GPA
- Scientific excellence
- Additional assignments
- Interview (Posture, attitude, commitment to the scholarship, etc…)
- The final selected candidate will be asked to fill NU online application, pay admission fees and go through normal admission procedure at Nile University.
- Failure to meet all deadlines required by NU to submit your application, required credentials and documents will result in cancelling the offered scholarship.
Scholarship Policy
- Students must make satisfactory academic progress toward completion of their degree requirements.
- A scholarship recipient is required to achieve and maintain a 3.0 GPA throughout the course of study. Consequence of failure to maintain the required GPA is the placement of the student under probation period during which the student must work on raising their GPA or otherwise lose their placement on the scholarship program.
- The scholarship program is designed to help students complete their degree requirements within a limited period (2-3 years) and is generally not available beyond that point.
- Maintaining an acceptable level of attendance in all classes and receive no disciplinary warnings is a must.
